Located fairly close to my home is the McKenzie Wetlands. A very scenic spot in Aurora, Ontario.

@The Obvious: Thanks Titus. I shot four exposures for this particular scene. I originally tried to combine them as an HDR image but I did not care for the result. I picked one of the exposures. The base layer was a lightly processed image from Camera RAW (I adjusted settings around exposure, shadow, brightness and contrast). The next layer was a copy of the base image which used a Gaussian blur with a 3 pixel radius. That layer was changed from Normal to Color and then linked to a new hue/saturation layer. I set the saturation to +55 to bring out the colour in the scene. The next layer was a levels layer for black point. Then a curves layer. And a final layer was set to Soft Light and filled with gray to allow for some dodging and burning. Image size was adjusted to 72 ppi and sharpened using Smart Sharpen.
